St. Antony of Padua [15 august 1195 - 13 june1231] was a Portuguese catholic priest and friar of the Franciscan order.He is very much loved by Jesus that, he was even seen holding the child Jesus in his arms, unspeakably beautiful and surrounded with heavenly light, due to which St. Antony is often depicted holding the child Jesus. We, from the beginning till now, have become whatever we are with the abundant blessings of the lord almighty through the assistance from our heavenly patron St. Antony of Padua. He is exemplary, for the teachers as one among the best teachers of all times, for students by the obedience, respect and sincerity he possessed and to all of us by the great message of love, humbleness and sacrifice he shown us through his life. His words and deeds provide us with complete guidance and constant leadership to service in love. And as the holy bible say,By God's grace, we are what we are.[1 Cor. 15:10].
St. Antony's Public School, Anakkal is owned and managed by St. Antony's Catholic Church Anakkal. The vicar of the church is the manager of the school. The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kanjirappally is the patron of the school. Ever since its establishment in 1988, the school has contributed a major share in extending the scope and reach of regional educational achievements.

To mention a few of them, in the year 2002 Robin Cherian secured first rank in All India Medical Entrance
South Zone and third rank in state medical entrance. In the year 2002 Joseph Mathew bagged 7th rank in Kerala Engineering Entrance and third rank in CUSAT. In the year 2003 Rejo Mathew Kurian bagged first rank in Chennai region plus 2 and in the year 2004 Ravishankar D secured third rank in Kerala engineering entrance. In 2006 Alan Mathew won fourth rank in Kerala Medical Entrance and in the same year Gimin Joy secured 10th rank in Kerala Engineering Entrance. In 2009 Jerin Joy secured first rank in Kerala engineering entrance. In 2010 Rahul M Nair was placed in the third rank in Kerala engineering entrance and in 2012 Sruthy Mohan secured third rank in National level Plus two. In 2013 Linta Thomas brought laurels to the school bagging first rank in Kerala Medical Entrance state level. In 2013 Linta Thomas secured 7th rank in National Medical Entrance and in 2013, A Anjana won 10th rank in CUSAT. In 2014 Ashish Jojo John was placed in the third rank in JEE main and in2015 Thalhath A Salam secured 9th rank in Medical Entrance. In the year 2015 Nimisha M H got 2nd rank in JIPMER Entrance and Anna James secured 6th rank in Kerala Medical Entrance. In 2016 Ram Kesav secured 8th rank in Kerala Engineering Entrance and Joyotsna Shaji secured 5th rank in plus two at national level.
2017 is the year of spectacular achievement of the school in which Deric Joseph secured 6th rank in NEET national level, first rank in NEET state level and secured first rank in KVPY national level examination. In Common Proficiency Test Jenson Joy secured first rank in Kerala and 9th rank all over India. Aswathaman bagged 8th rank in KVPY and Adwait H Shivam qualified for Asian Mathematical Olympiad. In 2018 Jess Maria Benny secured first rank in Kerala Medical Entrance. In 2019 Niranjan J Nair secured 182nd rank in JEE Advanced AIR, 2nd rank in Kerala and 7th rank in KEAM. In the same year Sanjai Sukumaran bagged 4th rank in KEAM and Saurav Sukumaran bagged 8th rank in KEAM. In 2020 Ebrahim Sohail Haris scored 210th rank in JEE Advanced AIR, 1st rank in Kerala and 7th rank in KEAM. Philemon Kuriakose bagged 50th rank in NEET AIR and 4th rank in Kerala. Aswin Sam Joseph was placed in the 1st rank in KEAM (ST).
St. Antony's public school has received both national and international awards and accolades. It secured 'A' star grade in the rating conducted by Global Academic Forum based in the United Kingdom. It was awarded Center of Excellence in recognition of the teaching quality, infrastructure, co-curricular activities, personal attention to the students, results in AISSCE examinations and social commitment of the school. A salient feature of SAPS is high quality coaching for competitive exams like NEET, AIMS, JIPMER, KEEM and CUSAT it provides.
Located outside but close to the school campus, St Antony's Career Center is imparting excellent entrance coaching in association with Brilliant Study Centre, Pala for the last 30 years. SAPS is one of the first schools selected to install Atal Tinkering Lab to nourish innovative thinking among students and it functions here admirably bagging several prizes in competitions conducted nationally. It also features state-of-the-art, computer, biology, physics and chemistry labs. SAPS always lays emphasis on all-round development of students' co-curricular activities participating in state and national level quiz competitions and walking home with several prizes. Our Quiz teams are famous all over India. Opportunities are provided for students to learn and practice martial arts like Karate, Kalari, performing arts like dance, roller-skating, instrumental music like guitar, violin etc. Our students put up marvelous performance in inter-school competitions. In our last school anniversary as many as thousand students performed on stages and there bloomed hundreds of buds in our kindergarten.
Montessori Method is also followed by us where experienced faculty members impart teaching in an affectionate manner and convert the teaching learning process into a joyful experience for the students. The sports and games equipment provided in plenty lent a playful touch to the campus life of the kids. We offer comfortable stay in the three hostels attached namely, St. Thomas Hostel for boys, SH and St. Antony's Hostel for girls. All the three hostels together can accommodate more than thousand students. St. Thomas hostel for boys is managed by Benedictine Fathers while girls' hostels are under the management of nuns. These hostels go beyond the mere places of accommodation and offer a host of services aiming at the overall development of the students like quiet ambience for serious study, peer learning, counselling, prayer services, cultural programmes, picnics etc. Under the patronage of the school homestays are also functioning in the neighbourhood of the school.
